Availabilities are the name of the game in the music business.
Everyday people looking for talent or suppliers for various projects
are faced with the task of not only finding out who can fill a need, but also
whether they are available within the timeframe and budget of whatever
project you are working on. Or if you are a supplier of talent or services,
you need to be always in the right place at the right time when a new job
prospect is "in play".
PAN's e-VailTM System contains the names, addresses, and resumes of
thousands of music industry professionals and companies that provide
the entire gamut of professional services on a per-diem, per-gig, or contract basis.
PAN's e-Vail System is intended to provide immediate results to
people who have something to offer or something
they need to obtain --- be it a service, a talent, a commodity, whatever...
Everyone in the e-Vail System has a track record, and
everyone using the e-Vail System is a bona fide buyer or seller
What it does NOT do:
To prevent SPAM and scams, PAN's e-Vail System does not make its
listings publicly available. It is not meant to be a directory
or yellow-page service. It is not an advertising or promotional
vehicle.
How it works
Everyone in the database submits a questionniare which is then
verified, sliced and diced, and sorted into every applicable category.
Everyone using the database submits a questionnaire that determines
exactly what they are looking for, geographic limitations (if applicable),
and the time frame they are working with.
It also asks how much you're willing to pay, even though we know
everyone will say "negotiable", but hey... it doesn't hurt to ask.
When an availability request is submitted, the e-Vail System searches
the database and sends an immediate email or FAX message to every match
it finds and lets you know how many people have been contacted.
People reluctant to reveal who is making the inquiry can make a
quasi-anonymous availability request by obtaining a temporary
e-Vail mailbox to receive any responses to their inquiry/request.
This allows the buyer to conceal their identity should the situation
require it. So if Michael Jackson is out there looking for tunes
for his next LP and doesn't want anyone to know it, it's cool.
[In a way, e-Vail works like a Classified Ad in reverse ....
the people and companies who would respond to an ad are already
known and on file, waiting for an ad to be posted]
